LR3-IGF-1

Insulin-like growth factor I (IGF-I) is mitogenic for a variety of cells including fibroblasts, osteoblasts, smooth muscle cells, fetal brain cells, neuroglial cells, and erythroid progenitor cells. IGF-I exerts its actions exclusively through the IGF-I receptor (IGF-IR).

IGF-I induces endothelial cell migration and is involved in the regulation of angiogenesis. IGF-I plays a critical role in cellular energy metabolism and growth and development, especially prenatal growth. In the skin, IGF-I is produced by dermal fibroblasts, where it stimulates these fibroblasts to proliferate and play a pivotal role in collagen production and helps in re-epithelialization of the wound surface.
– Application: Cell culture, mAb Production

Activin A

Activin A is a TGF-β superfamily protein essential for in vitro models of early embryogenesis and stem cell maintenance. It is widely used as a defined supplement to promote pluripotency in human embryonic stem cells and to drive endodermal differentiation in developmental biology and regenerative medicine research.

Application: Maintenance of pluripotent stem cells, endoderm differentiation, organoid development

TGF alpha

TGF-α is an EGF receptor ligand that promotes proliferation of epithelial and mesenchymal cells in vitro. It is commonly used in the development of epithelial tissue models, cancer biology studies, and regenerative pathway exploration, particularly for research focused on cell signaling and wound repair mechanisms.

Application: Epithelial cell proliferation, wound healing models, cancer signaling studies

EGF

Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) is a potent growth factor that stimulates the proliferation of various epidermal and epithelial cells. Additionally, EGF has been shown to inhibit gastric secretions, and to facilitate wound healing in the intestine.

This growth factor has been shown to significantly reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, rejuvenate the complexion, and increase skin’s moisture level. EGF has potential application in wound healing and in cosmeceuticals.

EGF is a single polypeptide of 53 amino acid residues which is involved in the regulation of cell proliferation. EGF exerts its effects in the target cells by binding to the plasma membrane located EGF receptor. The EGF receptor is a transmembrane protein tyrosine kinase.

PDGF-BB

PDGF-BB is a dimeric growth factor with potent mitogenic activity for mesenchymal cells such as fibroblasts, pericytes, and vascular smooth muscle cells. It is used in in vitro systems to study wound healing, angiogenesis, and stromal-epithelial interactions, and to support the growth of supportive cell types in complex co-cultures.

Application: Fibroblast proliferation & activation, pericyte proliferation, VSMC proliferation, angiogenesis assays, wound healing models

FGF

FGF-2 (basic FGF) is a key signaling molecule involved in cell proliferation, migration, and survival. In research, it is routinely used to support the expansion of human pluripotent stem cells, neural progenitors, and other primary cell types, enabling the development of models for early development, neurogenesis, and tissue regeneration.

Application: Pluripotent stem cell reprogramming & maintenance, MSC expansion, endothelial cell proliferation, wound healing models, neural progenitor proliferation, organoid & 3D tissue culture systems, cardiomyocyte & myoblast differentiation

HGH

Human Growth Hormone stimulates growth and anabolic activity in cultured cells. It is widely used in muscle biology and endocrinology research to support proliferation and metabolism in skeletal muscle, cartilage, and hepatic cells. HGH is also incorporated into systems modeling metabolic disorders and tissue remodeling.

Application: myoblast proliferation, chondrocyte proliferation, cartilage matrix production, liver & hepatocyte models, lipid metabolism studies, tissue regeneration, growth axis modeling

IL6

IL-6 is a pleiotropic cytokine that drives inflammation, differentiation, and immune cell activation. It is used in vitro to model chronic inflammatory conditions, study tumor–immune system interactions, and support hematopoietic and macrophage lineage development in immune and cancer research applications.

Application: Inflammation modeling, tumor immunology, hematopoietic differentiation, cytokine signalling pathway analysis, stem cell differentiation
