Streptavidin is a protein derived from the bacterium Streptomyces avidinii and binds to biotin with a dissociation constant on the order of ≈10-14 mol/L is one of the strongest non-covalent interactions known. FinaBio’s streptavidin is produced in E. coli as a soluble protein and is highly purified. It has high activity and low endotoxin.
